Logging in for the first time

When logging into 1st Chelmsford Gmail for the first time, please use a laptop/computer if possible.

 

You should have received an email from Google to log into your account that looks something like this:

Click on the 'sign in' box to set up your account

Click 'I understand', and then pick a password. Please ensure that you choose a strong password that you remember, it may be sensible to write it down somewhere or use a password manager.

After having changed your password, click 'Change password' and you should be taken to the app dashboard, where you can see all of the apps that you have access to:

Having logged in and set up your account, you can log in on a phone, tablet, etc. and use the apps there as well, in the usual way that you log into a google account.

The most common apps are below:

Gmail - 1st Chelmsford Group Email, to be used for all communications

Drive - Digital cloud storage for important documents and collaborative documents

Calendar - Where our HQ booking and usage calendar is stored.

Forms - An app to collect information from people (e.g. health forms, etc.)
